Richard Norby, UT-Battelle Corporate Research Fellow at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has been elected fellow of the American Geophysical Union.
Norby works in ORNL's Environmental Sciences Division and Climate Change Science Institute and is also a joint professor in the Bredesen Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Graduate Education. He is task leader for nutrient biogeochemistry in the NGEE-Tropics projects and for Sphagnum research on the SPRUCE project and is a member of the scientific steering committee of the Amazon FACE experiment.
Norby will receive the fellowship award in December at the 2017 AGU Fall Meeting in New Orleans.
