Bryan Lyles, a researcher in the Computational Sciences & Engineering Division's Cyber & Information Security Research group, has been elevated to the rank of fellow by the IEEE board "for contributions in local network technology, Internet measurement, and research cyberinfrastructure."  The IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers) selects fewer than 0.1 percent of its voting members for elevation to fellow. Bryan's IEEE fellowship is effective January 1.

Bryan has also been named a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery, an educational and scientific computing society, which cited him "for contributions to Internet infrastructure technology, measurement and research."
