Dr. Theodore M. Besmann, a researcher at the Department of Energy's (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), has been elected vice president of corporate and external affairs for the American Ceramic Society.







Dr. Richard P. Woychik, senior research scientist with the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), has been named head of the Mammalian Genetics and Developmental Biology section in ORNL's Biology Division.


The Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and DELTA M Corp. of Oak Ridge, Tenn., are jointly developing mineral-insulated cables for use in experimental fusion reactors, where the performance of normal diagnostic cables tends to deteriorate.
