Aromas play a significant role in the quality and safety of food, beverages, and even manufactured products. The ability to detect and interpret these aromas accurately can enhance product safety and consumer satisfaction. Traditional methods of detecting and analyzing aromas can be cumbersome and inaccurate, necessitating more streamlined and technologically advanced solutions.

Description

This system utilizes a novel electronic nose (e-nose) equipped with an array of thin-film gas sensors that detect various analytes in the air. The e-nose system is designed to predict the quality, freshness, and potential spoilage of food and beverages. It features two processors: the first powers the sensors and collects data, and the second processes this data through advanced machine learning models to accurately predict analytes based on their aromatic signatures.

Benefits

  • High accuracy: Utilizes multiple machine learning models to enhance the accuracy of predictions.
  • Real-time analysis: Capable of providing immediate feedback regarding the quality and safety of products.
  • Versatility: Applicable in various environments from manufacturing floors to storage facilities.
  • User-friendly: Designed with simplicity in mind, it requires minimal user intervention.

Applications and Industries

  • Food and beverage industry: To monitor freshness and spoilage.
  • Manufacturing: For detecting the quality and safety of materials.
  • Health and safety monitoring: In facilities to detect harmful or toxic chemicals.
