The electrochemical transformation of amorphous carbon to graphite is a highly energy intensive process requiring temperatures in excess of 3000 K and elevated pressures. Herein, we report the electrochemical transformation of hard carbons.

Air conditioning methods that include a process of dehumidifying an air stream and then exposing the air stream to a liquid desiccant in a conditioner are well established.

Oil starvation can lead to high friction, excess wear, scuffing and sometimes machine failure. An ultra-low friction coating has been developed to address the friction and wear problems upon lubricant starvation.
