Efficient thermal management in polymers is essential for developing lightweight, high-strength materials with multifunctional capabilities.

The disclosure is directed to optimized fiber geometries for use in carbon fiber reinforced polymers with increased compressive strength per unit cost. The disclosed fiber geometries reduce the material processing costs as well as increase the compressive strength.

High-gradient magnetic filtration (HGMF) is a non-destructive separation technique that captures magnetic constituents from a matrix containing other non-magnetic species. One characteristic that actinide metals share across much of the group is that they are magnetic.

Wind turbine blades face a harsh environment in which erosion of the leading edge is a major factor for in-use maintenance. Current industrial practices to address this leading edge erosion are replacement of reinforcing materials upon significant damage infliction.

We have been working to adapt background oriented schlieren (BOS) imaging to directly visualize building leakage, which is fast and easy.

The invention discloses methods of using a reducing agent for catalytic oxygen reduction from CO2 streams, enabling the treated CO2 streams to meet the pipeline specifications.

We proposed and developed a carbon nanofiber (CNF) suspension-based sizing agent, that resulted in improved interfacial, and mechanical properties. The CNF dispersed sizing agent can be applied in a relatively simpler way (by passing the continuous tow through it).

An electrochemical cell has been specifically designed to maximize CO2 release from the seawater while also not changing the pH of the seawater before returning to the sea.
