Eva Zarkadoula

Senior R&D Staff

Dr. Eva Zarkadoula studied Physics in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.  In 2013, she was awarded her PhD in Physics from Queen Mary University of London. Eva joined the Materials Science and Technology Division of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Associate in 2014, and in 2016 she was employed at ORNL as staff in the Materials Science and Technology Division. As of December 2022, Eva is R&D Staff in the Center for Nanophase Materials Science of ORNL. 

Her research interests include material modification and functionalization, the materials' behavior in extreme conditions, the interactions of radiation with matter, microstructure alterations and evolution, structural materials and mechanical properties, material modification and functionalization, nuclear energy, behavior of disordered systems such as liquids and glasses.
