Bio
Cody is a researcher in the Fusion Energy Division's Blanket and Fuel Cycle Group, studying cooling strategies for fusion reactor blankets. His work has focused on experimental fluid dynamics and thermal hydraulics, with particular interest and expertise in uncommon flow visualization strategies for interrogations of opaque and hard-to-access systems. Prior to ORNL, Cody worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Virginia Commonwealth University and as a research assistant at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, whereat he earned his B.S. (nuclear engineering, 2014) and Ph.D. (physics, 2019) degrees.
