Research Staff

Dr. Kaul joined the research and development staff at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2012 after having worked at the lab as a postdoc since 2008. His current research includes projects related to low-lifecycle-carbon fuels for marine engines, the characterization and control of cyclic combustion instabilities, low-speed pre-ignition, and thermodynamic analysis of engine efficiency. He has also been involved in research related to optical spray diagnostics and imaging. Brian is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of ASME and SAE.
