Yuya Shinohara

Bio

Dr. Yuya Shinohara received a bachelor's degree in applied physics from the University of Tokyo in 2003 and received a master's degree in materials science from the University of Tokyo in 2005. After spending two years as a doctorate course student, he was hired as an assistant professor (non-tenure track) in 2007 and received his doctor's degree from the University of Tokyo in 2011. His work in Japan focused on the development of small-angle X-ray scattering and its application to the structure and dynamics of soft matter. In 2017, he moved to the U.S., joining the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He joined ORNL in 2019.

• X-ray and Neutron Scattering.
