Nicolle Di Domenico

Nicolle Di Domenico joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2025 as a Geospatial Data Analyst. She is working in the Geospatial Data Modeling group in the National Security Sciences Directorate. At ORNL, Nicolle's research activity spans the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD), to the Next Generation Ecosystem Experiments (NGEE) Arctic research program. Nicolle's research has focused on detecting and characterizing geomorphology from soils to space, with particular interest in very fine scale microtopography and its interactions with vegetation. Her skillset includes satellite remote sensing techniques, geospatial data engineering, workflow automation, and applied computer vision and machine learning methods. 

Nicolle earned her MS in Geography from the Pennsylvania State University, during which she was a Graduate Research Fellow through the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program. She earned her BS in Geology and minor in GIS from Kent State University.
