Bio
Dr. Melrose Pan works in the Transportation Analytics and Decision Sciences Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Her research focuses on advancing geospatial intelligence and spatio-temporal modeling to understand the interactions between transportation, energy, environmental, and human systems. She has worked on projects involving electric vehicle adoption and charging impacts, freight accessibility analysis, traffic simulation, and the integration of transportation and power grid models. Dr. Pan has also contributed to research on travel behavior, technology adoption, and sustainable infrastructure using GeoAI and data-driven approaches.
Dr. Pan received her B.S. degree in transportation engineering from Tongji University, Shanghai, China. She received an M.E. degree and Ph.D. degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation from the University of Arizona, AZ, USA.
