Hsiuhan Lexie Yang is a Research Scientist in GeoAI Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Her research interests focus on advancing high performance machine learning approaches for large scale data analysis. She collaborated with esteemed scholars for NASA AIST, NSF, DOE sponsored projects, including conceiving domain adaptation and representation learning approaches for temporal data analysis for classification and leading the evaluations and design of UAV imaging system. She currently leads automated imagery analytics with large-scale multi-modality geospatial data. The recent work from her team has been widely used to support national-scale disaster assessment and management by agencies. She received PhD in Civil Engineering and Statistics Certificate in Applied Statistics from Purdue University in 2014.
