Kyle R Gluesenkamp

Senior Research and Development Scientist

Dr. Kyle R. Gluesenkamp is a Senior R&D Scientist and serves as ORNL's Subprogram Manager for Thermal Energy Storage. He has 15 years of experience and deep expertise in heat pumps, thermal storage and phase change materials, residential appliances (clothes dryers and dishwashers), sorption technologies, combined heat and power, heat transfer, psychrometrics, and experimental prototype evaluation. He has published two book chapters, over 50 journal articles, over 100 conference articles, and has 5 granted patents. 

Dr. Gluesenkamp is an ORNL Graduate Advisor with the University of Tennessee Bredesen Center, a recipient of the ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award, and serves on multiple ASHRAE committees. He has served as US expert on IEA HPT Annexes on sorption and thermal storage topics, and is also active in ASME and multiple conference scientific steering committees.
