Bio
He received the bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering from Inha University, Incheon, South Korea, in 2012 and in 2014. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, in 2019.
He was a Postdoctoral research associate in the Power Electronics Systems Integration group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Knoxville, TN, USA from 2020 – 2022. He is currently a R&D Associate in Grid Systems Modeling and Controls group at ORNL. His main research interests include electromagnetic transient (EMT) modeling and simulation of large-scale power electronics-dominated power grid that includes transmission grid, distribution grid, inverter-based resources (IBRs), distributed energy resources (DERs).
