Bio
Jason Richards is a Technical Professional with the Grid Security and Communications Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He has over fifteen years of experience in the research industry. Jason provides technical support through operations and logistical management to multiple research programs for the United States Forest Service, Department of Treasury, and the Department of Energy. Jason’s focus is the operation of the Grid Operations Analytics Laboratory, network hardware installations, conducting and supporting scientific investigations and experiments, FAA Part 107 unmanned aerial systems pilot, creating Statements of Work, collaborating with vendors, and 3D CAD design.
Jason also serves as an adjunct professor in Communication Studies at Tennessee Wesleyan University. He has served on the board of advisors for the Pellissippi State Community College photography program for the past eight years. Jason earned a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis on Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from King University and an Associate of Applied Science in Media Technology from Pellissippi State Community College. He completed both degrees with Magna Cum Laude honors, and he is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
