Bio
Dr. Brechtl is currently an Associate R&D staff member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In 2019 he earned his doctorate in Energy Science and Engineering from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where he was awarded the Chancellor’s Citation for Extraordinary Professional Promise. Dr. Brechtl has coauthored over 40 journal articles, multiple technical reports and conference papers, and 2 book chapters, coedited a book on high entropy materials, and has 3 invention disclosures. He has presented at multiple engineering conferences such as The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society Annual Meeting and The Materials Science & Technology Technical Meeting and Exhibition and is a current member of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society.
