Bio
I am the Scientific Associate for SNS BL-3, SNAP, which is the high pressure diffractometer. I’ve served in this role for the last 16 years, joining the SNAP team immediately after completing my MS in inorganic chemistry at the Univ. of Tennessee, where I employed neutron and X-ray scattering to study the structure and dynamics of superacids and superacidic solutions. In addition to overseeing daily beamline operations, I’m heavily involved in the development of pressure cells (mainly diamond anvil cells) and associated apparatuses.
