Chenyang Jiang

Polarization Scientist

Chenyang Jiang is a research scientist developing polarized neutron techniques and supporting polarized neutron experiments on neutron instruments at both HFIR and SNS. Currently, he is leading the effort to  develop the latest generation of spherical neutron polarimetry at ORNL. He is also in charge of the development and deployment of polarized 3He neutron polarizers and analyzers for neutron instruments. He received a PhD in nuclear physics from Indiana University. Prior to becoming a staff scientist at ORNL, Dr. Jiang was a postdoc in ORNL's  Neutron Optics & Polarization Group working on in situ polarized 3He spin filters.
