Cami S Collins

Group Leader, Advanced Tokamak Physics

Cami joined ORNL in 2020 after working at General Atomics, where she was a scientist researching energetic particle physics on the DIII-D tokamak.

She received the 2015 Marshall N. Rosenbluth Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award awarded by the American Physical Society Division of Plasma Physics (APS-DPP).

She is a member of APS-DPP executive committee and a strong advocate for outreach, including establishing the U.S. Fusion Outreach Team, leading many workshops at DIII-D aimed to inspire middle and high school girls to pursue fusion careers and co-creating an APS-DPP Teacher’s Day workshop on Fusion.
