Connecting lattice geometries to realize spin liquids

Scientific Achievement: Combining neutron scattering and graph theory reveals a deep connection between bipartite and nonbipartite lattices for the realization of spin liquids.

Significance and Impact: This work demonstrates that nonbipartite lattices can serve as hosts of spiral spin liquids, thereby greatly expanding the candidate materials to probe and ultimately harness the unique characteristics of a spin liquid.
