ORNL’s Gallego elected American Carbon Society fellow

OAK RIDGE, Tenn., Aug. 8, 2016 – Nidia C. Gallego, a researcher at the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, has been elected fellow of the American Carbon Society. Gallego leads the Graphite Development and Performance team in the Materials Science and Technology Division.

The fellow award recognizes Gallego’s sustained research contributions and significant accomplishments in carbon materials science and technology and her service to the American Carbon Society, where she is now a member of the executive committee.

Gallego was recognized at last month’s 2016 World Conference on Carbon.
