Problem Statement

The Department of Energy is vested with the centralized responsibility for creating and managing the national resource for comprehensive, integrated, and properly vetted information about worldwide nuclear materials to support critical activities, policies, and investments related to nonproliferation, counterproliferation, and counterterrorism.

 

 

Technical Approach

•Utilization of varying reactor physics depletion codes to estimate material characteristics •Investigate different statistical models for their ability to characterize Pu samples for attribution purposes
