Yuan-Heng Wang

Postdoctoral Research Associate - Water Resource Science and Engineering

Yuan-Heng Wang is a Postdoctoral Research Associate within the Environmental Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His research focuses on large-scale snowpack modeling using both physics-based model and deep learning approaches as well as developing AI-physics hybrid modeling for catchment-scale rainfall-runoff modeling. At ORNL, his research centers on building ML surrogates mainly for reservoir operation systems and hydrodynamic models. Prior to joining ORNL, Yuan earned his Ph.D. in Hydrology and Atmospheric Science at the University of Arizona in 2023. He also holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from National Taiwan University, in 2011 and 2013 respectively.
