Xiaojuan Yang

Bio

Xiaojuan Yang is a research scientist in the Environmental Sciences Division and the Climate Change Science Institute. Her research interests lie in the interactions between carbon, nutrient, water, and energy in the terrestrial biosphere, with a special emphasis on building, evaluating, and applying numerical models that provide the capacity to test hypotheses and examine the implications of these interactions for climate change prediction.

Prior to joining the Environmental Sciences Division, She worked as postdoctoral research associate in Environmental Science Division at ORNL and University of Illinois. She received her Ph.D. in Department of Atmospheric Sciences at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in 2009.

Awards

2010 Ogura research paper award in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at UIUC.

2011 Honorable Mention at the 27 New Phytologist Symposium, "Stoichiometric flexibility in terrestrial ecosystems under global change"

2012 Distinguished Achievement Award for Postgraduate Research, ESD, ORNL
