Research Interests:

Dr. Tomas Grejtak a research staff scientist in the Surface Engineering & Tribology Group, Materials Science and Technology Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). His research focuses on wear, friction, materials deformation and contact mechanics of various materials and systems in areas such as nuclear powerplants, biomass processing, automotive, and others. His research also includes a nanoscale structural characterization of hydrogen fuel cells. Dr. Grejtak has an extensive expertise in materials characterization including wear and friction experiments, nanoindentation, and high resolution microscopy.
