Sunyong Kwon

R&D Associate Staff - Computational Thermodynamics

Dr. Sunyong Kwon is a R&D associate staff specializing in computational thermodynamics (CALPHAD) within the Materials Sciences and Technology Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He received his PhD from the Department of Mining and Materials Engineering at McGill University Canada in 2020. His research focuses on CALPHAD-driven alloy design, thermodynamic database and software development, and the fundamental understanding of diffusion and nucleation kinetics governing multiphase solidification.
