Bio
Dr. Seokjoon Yun is currently working as a postdoctoral associate in the Functional Hybrid Nanomaterials Group at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
He obtained his Ph.D. in Material Science from Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea in 2018 and had been working on "the synthesis and modification of transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers using chemical vapor deposition" as a research professor at the IBS Center for integrated nanostructure physics until April 2022.
He has been joined ORNL in May 2022 and is doing research on "the growth mechanism and controlled synthesis of two-dimensional materials, specifically for the artificial nanostructure (Janus 2D materials, nanoscroll) and Laser-assisted nanomaterial synthesis.
