Maria is a Contract Closeout Specialist in the Contracts Division. In this vital role, she is responsible for managing a wide range of closeout tasks for various types of subcontracts.
Prior to this position, Maria served as an Administrative Assistant for two years, supporting Group Leaders and staff in Advanced Computing for Health Sciences, Advanced Computing for Chemistry and Materials, and Advanced Computing for Nuclear, Particle, and Astrophysics. In that capacity, she handled a variety of administrative responsibilities, including event planning, organizing meetings, purchasing, coordinating travel, and arranging or maintaining both on-site and cyber access to ORNL.
Professional Experience
Before joining ORNL, Maria spent eight years working in the medical industry in a variety of clerical and clinical roles, primarily in Pulmonary and Orthopedics. Her experience includes insurance verification and working as a Medical Assistant. She thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong passion for helping others.
