Bio
Josh Pihl is a Distinguished R&D Staff member and the Group Leader for Applied Catalysis and Emissions Control Research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He is also the ORNL relationship manager for the DOE Advanced Engine & Fuel Technologies Program. His work focuses on fuels, combustion engines, and emissions control systems that can achieve net-zero carbon dioxide and near-zero pollutant emissions. He serves as the lead for the CLEERS initiative and the co-chair of the DOE Advanced Engine Crosscut Team and has been an active member of the U.S. DRIVE Advanced Combustion & Emission Control Tech Team, the 21st Century Truck Partnership IC Engine Powertrain Tech Team, and the Co-Optimization of Fuels and Engines extended leadership team.
