Bio
Jeff joined the Soft Matter and Membranes group in CSD at ORNL in the fall of 2022. His research focuses on the precision synthesis of polymers using modern living polymerization techniques for a broad variety of applications from battery electrolytes to polymer recycling. Prior to ORNL, Jeff was briefly a staff member in the Organic Materials Science division at Sandia National Labs. His postdoctoral research at the University of Birmingham in the UK focused on block copolymer synthesis and solution self-assembly. Jeff is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry and serves as an ad-hoc peer reviewer for several journals in the fields of chemistry and polymer science.
