Jason C Kaufman

Bio

Jason Kaufman is the Geospatial Data Curator for the GeoInformatics Engineering and Scalable Computing Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), a role he has held since February 2018.  Previously he also worked as a Post-Master's Research Associate for Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU), working for the Geographic Information Science and Technology Group.  He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2014.  His research focuses are in population modeling, world geographic administrative organization, best practices in data management and organization, and advancing open-source geospatial data science.  His work has applications in geo-spatial modeling and intelligence, big data analytics and analysis, and geographic data sciences.
