Bio
Dr. Tekinalp is a Senior R&D Staff at Sustainable Manufacturing technologies Group in Manufacturing Science Division. He is located at the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility of Oak Ridge National Laboratory and works on the development of bio-based composite systems manufacturing technologies. His research focuses on development of fiber-reinforced composite systems for additive manufacturing and understanding the microstructure-property relationship of these materials. In addition to bio-composite development for extrusion deposition, he also has experience in polymer processing, supercritical fractionation of petroleum pitch, and production and characterization of activated carbon fibers.
