Members of the Mathematics in Computation Section create the mathematics and architecture-aware algorithms that harness machines, ideas, and data to enable far-reaching scientific breakthroughs.

These capabilities span foundational aspects of data analysis and AI, discrete systems and methodologies, the dynamics of complex natural and engineered systems, and operations research and statistics.

The Mathematics in Computation Seminar Series hosts speakers from various areas of interest to section staff members. The goal of this series is to promote dialogue and collaboration between individuals and groups across institutions. These discussions include colloquiums, seminars, workshops, and symposia.
