The compoundsUOS,UOSe,NpOS,andNpOSehavebeensynthesizedandtheirstructuresdetermined
by meansofsingle-crystalX-raydiffractionmethods.Theresultsprovidemoredetailedcrystallographic
information,includingmorepreciseinteratomicdistances,thanearlierdeterminationsfrompowder
