Purification of conductive polymer (e.g., polyaniline) particles is a challenging task, especially, when the particle size is small. Herein, we demonstrated a unique strategy to purify polyaniline particles by exploiting the difference in surface charge between particles and surfactants. We compared the results with commonly used purification strategies both in terms of particle quality and electrical conductivity of the particle layers.
