Team UT-Battelle: Serving our community

Team UT-Battelle is a volunteer-service support concept. Its purpose is to help Oak Ridge National Laboratory's employees lend their services to community projects.

The Team UT-Battelle Advisory Committee provides oversight and approval of potential projects submitted by staff. The committee also offers advice, consultation, and promotional efforts across the lab’s full suite of communications channels to attract volunteers within the lab who are willing to commit their valuable time and effort to support these projects..

Through Team UT-Battelle, employees who serve worthy causes can attract attention to them, recruit volunteers, defray expenses, and earn recognition for both the projects and the volunteers who participate in them. Team UT-Battelle approval is required for any fundraising efforts held or marketed onsite. The projects are run by staff volunteers with participation from family members, friends, and retirees, all working to assist the communities where we live and work.

If you have a project or cause that you think your fellow staff members would be interested in helping, Team UT-Battelle can help you get the word out and get it on track.
