We’ve developed a more cost-effective cable driven robot system for installing prefabricated panelized building envelopes. Traditional cable robots use eight cables, which require extra support structures, making setup complex and expensive. Our new design reduces this to six cables (minimum number required for full mobility control), simplifying installation while still maintaining stability and precision. This makes it easier to deploy, especially in crowded urban areas, saving time, materials, and costs without compromising performance.
