Coating Removal Process for Steel Laminates Using a Rolling/Adhesive Technique

INVENTION REFERENCE NUMBER

201703884

  • Materials

The presently disclosed subject matter relates generally to the processing of steel laminates during manufacturing electromechanical devices. This disclosure particularly outlines a process for cheap, reliable removal of temporary ceramic coatings from the laminate surface using a novel three-stage process. This process will help to make the manufacturing of these devices more economically viable and replacing the need for use of hazardous chemicals, particularly hydrofluoric acid. The speed of this process is also an improvement upon the current methods.
