Chemical solution seed layer for RABiTS tapes

The basic idea is to use a chemical solution based seed layer of the double perovskite phase for growing the seed layer on RABiTS tapes. Since this phase has a large lattice mismatch with Ni-based alloys, it is expected that the out-of-plane texture of the double perovskite seed layer will be better than that of the ni-based alloy below. The double perovskite phase cap layer may also serve as a better diffusion barrier layer since it has low reactivity and may also have less diffusion of cation elements through it.
