Sandra J. Poarch

Sandra Poarch is a senior administrative assistant within the Nuclear Energy and Fuel Cycle Division (NEFCD). She plays a pivotal role in organizing and supporting numerous workshops and training sessions for the SCALE Code System, alongside other key programmatic responsibilities for SCALE.

Before assuming her current role, Sandra served as the division secretary for the former Reactor and Nuclear Systems Division (now NEFCD) from 2010 to 2019. Her journey at Oak Ridge National Laboratory began in 1991, where she initially contributed to the operations side in the Waste Management Division, holding various administrative assistant positions.

In 2004, Sandra transitioned to the research side of the Lab, taking on the role of lead administrative assistant for the Nuclear Systems Analysis, Design, and Safety Technical Integration Area within the former Nuclear Science and Technology Division. She holds an Associate of Science degree in Office Administration from Roane State Community College.
