Received the B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia, in 2017, the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, in 2020, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution in 2023. He was an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, working on electric vehicle charging infrastructure, grid impact analysis, and resiliency studies for remote communities. He later served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Sustainable Energy Center (SEC), University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, focusing on converter-dominated systems, aggregated inverter-based generation, and Hardware-in-the-Loop validation. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Oak Ridge, TN, USA, where his research centers on grid-interactive controls, real-time simulation, and advanced modeling of power-electronic-dominated systems. His broader interests include power electronics control and renewable energy integration, with a focus on grid stability, robustness, and grid-edge coordination.
