Ben R. Ray

Ben is a Linux Systems Engineer with the HPC Scalable Systems group.

Ben specializes in automation/scripting and helps maintain the Gaea cluster.

Prior to joining ORNL, Ben worked as a Linux Systems Administrator supporting research computing in both an academic setting and at another DOE site. Ben has experience in server administration, end-user support, configuration management, and HPC cluster administration.

Ben graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2024 with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys hiking, music, and homelabbing.
