Amelia F. Campbell

Central Solenoid, Tokamak Cooling Water System, and Technical Integration Manager

Amelia Campbell is manager of the central solenoid magnet and tokamak cooling water system teams and is technical integration manager for the US ITER Project.

Amelia is responsible for execution of the central solenoid and tokamak cooling water system scopes for the US ITER project. In this role she oversees the planning, design, fabrication, and delivery of critical hardware components that the United States is contributing to ITER.

As US ITER’s technical integration manager, Amelia is responsible for project and process standards for technical oversight on subcontracts from design through hardware fabrication. She leads the technical integration team that supports subcontracts across the US ITER project, shares lessons learned for the project, and manages strategic work agreements with the ITER Organization. She also leads US ITER’s Technical Project Officer (TPO) working group, whose mission is to improve overall contract management processes by cross linking all TPOs and procurement personnel on the project at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Savannah River National Laboratory, and Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.

Amelia joined the US ITER project in 2019 and has supported hardware fabrication subcontracts for multiple hardware systems. Before joining US ITER, she held roles as a process and reliability engineer at ExxonMobil in Texas and Montana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Clemson University in South Carolina and a master’s degree in engineering management from Penn State.
