Alysha B. Tackett

Alysha Tackett serves as the Programs and Planning Specialist for the Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate (CCSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), a position she has held since March 2023. She works closely with the Associate Laboratory Director, Chief Operating Officer, and directorate leadership to coordinate strategic initiatives, support directorate operations, and advance organizational priorities. Her responsibilities include leading major scientific conferences and workshops, coordinating executive-level activities, preparing leadership presentations and reports, and developing programs that support employee engagement, professional development, and recognition. She also manages initiatives involving external stakeholders and industry partners, including conference sponsorships and directorate-wide events.

Prior to her current role, Alysha served as Administrative Services Manager for CCSD, where she managed and supervised administrative staff. Previously, she held the positions of Division Administrative Assistant in the National Security Sciences Directorate and Group Administrative Assistant in the Neutron Sciences Directorate. Before joining ORNL, she spent more than 19 years in healthcare administration, including experience in practice management and operational support.

Alysha holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Tusculum University and an Associate of Science in Business Management from Pellissippi State Community College.
