Bio
- Basic information: Earned PhD in engineering and majored in the Application of Synchrotron Radiation.
- Technical skills: Specialized in X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). Interested in exploring the application of advanced techniques for specific scientific questions. Focus on/Expertise in combining multiple techniques (IR, S/TEM, XAS, XPS, neutron scattering etc.) with different probing capabilities to reveal the working state of functional materials under in situ/operando conditions.
- Research interest: Have 10+ years’ experience in heterogeneous catalysis studies. Current research area includes: 1) determining, developing and designing active local structures of single atom catalysts for various catalytic reactions (methane combustion, reverse water gas shift reaction, MCH dehydrogenation etc.); 2) discovering efficient catalysts and revealing their working mechanisms for CO2 hydrogenation to valuable chemicals (methanol, ethanol, etc.)
