Bio
Yi-Syuan Guo is a postdoctoral research associate at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences and Biosciences Division of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Her work focuses on developing engineered microhabitats for fungal growth, fungal-bacterial, and fungal-plant interactions to support the Plant-Microbe Interfaces (PMI) Scientific Focus Area (https://pmiweb.ornl.gov/). Before joining ORNL, she employed microfluidics to investigate the mechanism of microbe-mediated soil moisture retention at the pore scale. She earned her Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Connecticut in 2020.
