Seth R Johnson
Seth Johnson specializes in high-performance computational radiation transport as a research staff member at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Although his background is in nuclear engineering, with a B.S. from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, he finds himself working on computational geometry and software architecture more than traditional engineering.
Over his career, Seth has researched hybrid deterministic–Monte Carlo transport, GPU application development, computational geometry, visualization and user interfaces, sensitivity/uncertainty methods, and high-fidelity modeling of fusion systems. He expects his future areas of interest to be even more diverse and exciting.
