Research and Development Associate

Dr. Rinkle Juneja is a Research and Development Associate in the Plasma Theory and Modeling Group of the Fusion Energy Division in the Fusion and Fission Energy and Science Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) since February 2023. In this role, she will be building quantitative tools for modeling plasma transport, mitigating disruptions, and understanding plasma-material interactions for fusion reactors using magnetohydrodynamic models and machine learning methods. She has joined ORNL in July 2020 as a postdoctoral research associate in the Materials Science and Technology Division. She has received her PhD from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in May 2020. Her research areas during her PhD and postdoctoral appointment were focused on understanding electronic transport, thermal transport, and non-trivial topologies in materials using first-principles and machine learning methods.
