Phong Le is an associate staff scientist in the Environmental Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Dr. Le is a computational hydrologist broadly interested in understanding the complexity and space-time variability of climate and hydrologic systems arising from the nonlinear and multiscale interactions between soil, water, climate, vegetation, and human. He uses a combination of theory, numerical modeling, and data analysis to do his research. Dr. Le completed his B.E. degree in Hydrology at Vietnam Water Resources University prior to receiving his M.S. and Ph.D. (2016) both in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to joining ORNL, Dr. Le was a postdoc in the Department of Civil Engineering at University of California, Irvine.
